E-sign, built in

Process e-signature under New Zealand's Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 Part 4 — not a DocuSign or Adobe licence, and not a government ID credential.

Place fields on the PDF Drag, resize, and label signature boxes on any page. Optional date stamp. Save the layout and reuse it on the next pack.

Template markers Put {{signature:signerN}} in a Word template. Finalise to PDF and the fields land automatically.

Who signs Up to five slots — primary client, spouse, trustees, other invitees, and the adviser. Parallel signers, not a serial route.

Invite without a CRM record Trustees and other parties get a link or QR. Email is optional. No portal account required for invitees.

Draw, type, upload, or phone-scan Presets for any method, no typed names, or paper ink required. QR phone-scan captures a wet-ink photo onto the desktop session.

Saved adviser signature Upload once on the profile. Adviser fields can stamp automatically when you place or apply them.

Acceptance as well as ink Accept, decline, or request changes — with or without page stamps. Decline and amend can create a follow-up task.

Review, reject, reset Reject one field, ask them to re-sign, or reset the whole client action. Sealed copies void if you reopen the pack.

Client portal The primary client signs from a magic-link portal. You control visibility. Action history stays on the file.

CLM, not just envelopes

Contract lifecycle management is the vault, the templates, the merge, and the journey — not a separate product you bolt on after signing.

Document vault Upload (including bulk), categories, dates and expiry, client visibility, superseded chain, and SHA-256 on every file.

Word templates & merge Firm or platform .docx templates, placeholder scan, merge-field defaults, and a snippet library.

SOA composer Section markers, advice cases (draft → ready → finalised), and merge values that stay with the matter.

Generate → draft → finalise Merge in the journey, save the draft to the vault, then Finalise to Word + PDF — and send for signature in the same step.

Workflows & stages Document artefacts on a journey. Portal flags for acceptance or signature. Optional blocking stage gate until signing is done.

Versioning & audit Original bytes are never overwritten. Action history records send, sign, reject, and reset. Plan and document versions stay on the client.

Journey + template markers

Generate from a client journey. When the template already has signature markers, Finalise & send for signature places the fields for you.

Path 2 · Ad-hoc

Upload a PDF and place boxes

Set who signs, drag fields onto the page, save a reusable layout, then send. Invitees get a link or QR.

Path 3 · Light

Accept and sign — no page stamps

Portal accept / decline / request changes, plus one signature image when you need a recorded yes without PDF coordinates.

Evidence you can file

When everyone has signed, SignMe keeps the original, produces a sealed execution PDF, and issues a Certificate of Completion.

Original bytes kept The source PDF is not overwritten. Its SHA-256 is the fingerprint of what was presented to the signer.

Sealed execution copy Signatures are stamped on the pages, then sealed with a PKCS#7 / CMS Document Seal (SHA-256). Tampering is detectable in a PDF reader.

Certificate of Completion Hashes, seal fingerprint, and each signatory's name, time, IP, and device — plus the attestation they accepted.

Honest legal framing NZ CCLA 2017 Part 4 process e-sign. The seal is self-signed (Acrobat may show identity unknown). Some instruments still need wet ink — your compliance officer decides.

Why not just buy DocuSign?

If you only need envelopes, the big brands work. If you already run a practice workspace, paying per envelope for the same PDF boxes is the expensive part.

Not claimed: qualified e-sign, serial/conditional routing, or in-PDF data fields (initials, checkboxes, calculations). Those are on the roadmap, not in the vault today.
